Dr. Abba, who holds a PhD in Comparative Literature, is a Senior Lecturer in the English and Literary Studies Department at Federal University Lokoja. A renowned scholar and creative writer, Dr. Abba has won many postdoctoral fellowships, which he spent at Humboldt University, Berlin; University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; and University of Reading, UK. He has also won numerous literary prizes, including the Nigeria LNG Prize for Literary Criticism, and twice the ANA Prize for Literary Criticism in 2019 and 2022. He has published two plays and a novel, including well-researched articles in prestigious journals. He evaluates manuscripts for big publishers and funding organisations across the world, such as the British Academy.

Dr. Abba's journey with ANA started in 2000 when he published his first novel, The Ugly Queen. Starting with ANA-Anambra, he later joined ANA Kogi upon his relocation to Lokoja. He has served as a resource person several times at ANA Conventions, including as a Lead Paper presenter at the PAWA-NAL-ANA Conference at the University of Ibadan in 2022, with over 40 countries in attendance.

Currently, he is a member of the Steering Committee of the Ken Saro-Wiwa Writers Residency, Abuja, powered by ANA.

Dr. Abba is determined to contribute to ANA KOGI by:
1. Using his intellectual and creative energies for the upliftment of ANA Kogi;

2. Helping budding authors to get published by choice publishers;

3. Bringing established authors to ANA Kogi to provide mentorship and training for young authors;

4. Helping writers to find and create markets for their books;

5. Connecting ANA members to institutions and groups where they can showcase their talents;

6. Collaborating with appropriate government institutions for the recognition of the ANA membership certificate as a professional instrument for career growth and promotion.
